I'm going thru a VINTAGE Kenwood KA-7100 integrated amp. Caps LOOK fine but I'm scared to apply voltage to the unit until I re-cord and get some contact cleaner ready. But ONE question. While the PS Caps LOOK fine, no bulges or leaks, I'm looking for a backup. Stock pieces are ELNA, a good brand. I can get Nichicon, in 50v with but can't get EXACT lead spacing. What If I could get HIGHER voltage? Would that make a difference? Amp doesn't or DIDN'T run hot so I'm going to stick with 85c. Any suggestions for a good 6800uf cap? NTE any good? I think I can source those locally..... Too much is never enough |
