I was considering trying a matching line transformer (something similar to the Sophia Electric Magik Box, but with vintage transformers) in my system - either after my dac or between my pre and amps. Anyone here able to share their experiences, good or bad, with such devices?

Jensen Transformers has been making line level transformers for pro audio for decades; so has Hammond. However, almost all of the high quality audio transformer makers make something similar. Contact Lundahl, Magnequest, Electra-Print, Sowter, or Heyboer for their current products or look for legacy products from Thordarson, Tamura or Tango.
