I got on the list and got myself one of these new players. My old Oppo-93 seemed to be telling me that it was time for a newer chip-set. Out of the box it sounded thin but in just a few hours the bass player showed up. It has continued to improve with each passing day. I left it on for the first three days that I had it. Looking inside, I found that the op-amps are 5532's, OLD! There are three voltage regulators for the analog PCB. They are Lm337 and LM317's. The caps are 2200uF and 1000uF. Since I am not using the analog outputs I will not be making any changes for now. But, the sound of this unit makes my old player sound fuzzy, so I don't feel the need. Good Luck, bobwire

I am in shock Bob. I expected a complete list of mods by now. Just kidding. Enjoy your new player.

It, the Oppo-203 has been for days now and I have to say that I have never heard anything better. The people that have come over to hear it, have all said that there is no problem hearing how much better this player it over the older 93. We have a saying here,"hear it again for the first time." That is so true. bobwire
