I got on the list and got myself one of these new players. My old Oppo-93 seemed to be telling me that it was time for a newer chip-set. Out of the box it sounded thin but in just a few hours the bass player showed up. It has continued to improve with each passing day. I left it on for the first three days that I had it. Looking inside, I found that the op-amps are 5532's, OLD! There are three voltage regulators for the analog PCB. They are Lm337 and LM317's. The caps are 2200uF and 1000uF. Since I am not using the analog outputs I will not be making any changes for now. But, the sound of this unit makes my old player sound fuzzy, so I don't feel the need. Good Luck, bobwire |
