My highly prized Grundig Satellit 2000 multi-band portable recently quit. In searching for the cause, I have found a failed Zener diode in the audio amplifier section. The parts list identifies this as a ZV1. Have been unable to find any info on this specific p/n, nor a direct substitute.

Can anyone provide info on this obsolete part or recommend a proper replacement?

I am reconditioning a Grundig satellit 700. looking for either the original paint code or a match code for the speaker grill color.

OK, the not zener diode is st6, if defective you can replace it with 3 regular silicon diodes, connected in series.

To best of my knowlwdge it is no zener diode in the audio section of the Grundig Satellit 2000. It is one zener in the power supply section called st7 (st8 in the Sat 2100). It is also a diode in the audio with the name st6 which has a forward voltage drop 1.7V on it.
The similar Satellit 2100 has a diode (st7) in the output biasing circuit.

Here's the part you are looking for (ZB2-BZ102, or BZ102 2V1 Zener diode, not "ZV1"). It is #St6 in the Grundig Sat 2000 audio amplifier section.

Hello, Schnitzer:

Apparently, someone offers a repair manual on the Grundig Satellit 2000 for a fee. See the URL below

Also, have you tried contacting Grundig?

You might be surprised that they can offer some assistance, since they are still in business and that was a fairly good radio, although one manufactured over thirty five years ago, apparently.
