of the performance of the tuner. With my Roof top Antenna I can get way more stations including from LA on certain days with my Dynaco MF3, Fisher KM-60, and Fisher FM 2200b.

With the Mac MR80 I can get way more than what I could with my Magnum Dynalab antenna and get LA all the time except for really bad weather days but still come in but barely.

I need to get that Rhombic back up!

I am impressed that such a small (and fairly inexpensive) unit is so sensitive and quiet, with wonderful imaging. I have heard the mods exist for this tuner; to my ears, it works well stock.

I check ebay for prices every once in a while and I notice that the Audiolab 8000T goes for about $400 and change.

That price seems very reasonable and my thought is that many people just don't have the selection of FM stations available to make it worth while owning a good tuner.

I tried buying some second-system tuners and I got rid of them all. None of them compared.

The main characteristic of the 8000T is the frequency extension combined with the holographic soundstage, but mostly the latter.

I also like the silky smooth tuning knob.Reminds me of some of my old Marantz equipment. But I think my Pioneer pulls in weaker stations better.

buffy	Nems Clarke 1509A. I modified it a little, using the video out, bypassing it's own little SE power amp and I use a DIY SE 2A3 with it through an old 604C in a 612 cab. It makes a REL Precedent or a 10B look simple inside. Tax payers paid $1800 for these in 1961. I plan on making a new DIY PP amp for it, now that I'm more impressed with that topology.

Listening to 102.5 fm from Tijuana. Plays fusion, jazz, funk and other music. Uncompressed FM. The PEC mod and output cap upgrade raise this tuner's sound to a whole other level. Very very Nice! I still need to do the power supply PCB mod, I can only imagine what the FM3 will sound like after that!

that I could tune to listened to my favotites music. FM stations such as CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) for jazz, folk, classical and new music, CKUA for eclectic, jazz, folk just to name a few and XL 103 for classic rocks.
