I had KLH 200 since late 80s, once radio got broken, found a small repair shop near BU, they knew that model, they fixed it. That repair shop is gone, and the radio is broken again, plus some problems with AUX button which apparently are inherent for that model. I love this radio. Reception is good and the quality of sound is way above the run off the mill tabletop radios. They simply don't make them like that anymore. Does anyone know anyone in Boston MA area who's familiar with this model and can fix it? Or may be somebody can suggest a suitable replacement. I'm aware of Denon DT-400, similar idea but quite hard to find. What I'm looking for is good reception (I care about FM only), good sound, one separate speaker or 3-piece unit, clock and alarm. TIA,

Darius owner of Q Audio in Cambridge is a stellar technician. He, however, is running sales as of the past decade.

For exceptionally interesting historical items like you have - he might very well be coaxed into fixing it for you.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I live not far away from QAudio, I just didn't realize they might do repairs as well. As you've pointed out, now it's mostly sales.

Meanwhile I got yet another one, on eBay. It's mostly operational, with a few minor glitches I've found a way to get around.

Thanks, and in fact I did. The only problem is that practically every model - as the time passes by - starts exhibiting more or less the same problems. So, the one I got is in much better shape than the one I have, yet have a few glitches which might become worse in a while. So I still want to find someone familiar with this model.

By the way, KLH 200 is not readily available on eBay. KLH 100 which is mono version is more common.
