Internet radio to substitute a Marantz 10B

The FM broadcasting closes down in favour of DAB+ here in Norway this year. I had a Marantz 10B tuner which received stations with an excellent sound quality. Now I'm looking for an Internet radio to substitute the 10B.
I have found Onkyo T-4070 and Grace Digital GDI-IRDT200.
Other of equal or better quality?

 Marantz NA-11S1 is the answer. Internet radio, DAC, Headphone amp. and more with todays technology when FM closes down. Price is about equal to the 10B.

 Good digital sound requires very high conversion rates and long word lengths.

Anything less than 44.1khz with 16 bit words will not sound as good as analogue from a good antenna driving your superb tuner into full limiting.

 It is not possible to get high-end sound from such a data stream.

Don't throw money at the problem.

Patently fake graph from Sony HAP-Z1ES HDD Audio Player brochure. Read below...

You'll sorely miss your sweet old Marantz, Iodemus my friend! You're stuck. I have just completed a closet-cleaning and comparison of all my tuners and sold my HD FM tuner, a Sony xdr-f1hd.

The digital signal sounds like crap. It is very highly compressed, worse perhaps than the European standard DAB of which Wikipedia says: "Most stations use a bit rate of 128 kbit/s or less with the MP2 audio." It's just one Bear's opinion but I have found through scrupulous listening that AAC and MP3 at very high bitrates (>320)provide a reasonable substitute for FM but 128 is terrible.

I find some equalization helps make CODEC'd sound less intrusive. As has Sony- they have designed some built-in frequency shaping circuit to tame some of the bass-bloat and flaccid highs associated with CODEC-ed music. They give it a zoomy science-fiction-y sounding name... it's funny. See fake grph, with no actual numbers! Ahhh-hahahah...

Just an aside-- I pitched all FM units for the present except for a venerable Yamaha T-1. Analog tuned, very sophisticated FM design etc. but the key ingredient is that it was designed by people with an "ear" for music. Thank you, Yamaha people!

I hope brodcast FM holds out here in the US until I can't hear no more... I spent my entire life listening to radio starting with my dad when I was a toddler (he was a radio nut) and I so want it to stay real.

Listening to our WONDERFUL Los Angeles classical station (KUSC) right now and the soundstage is deep and clean against a (reasonably) quiet background, preserving excellent dynamic range. octave-to-octave balance is excellent, etc etc- it's just lovely.

 Can't be done. 10b will be impossible to reproduce faithfully.

 The Marantz NA11-S1 works well as an internet tuner, as well as being a good DAC and playing music stored on file servers.

 I don't think you will achieve it, at least not now. I have been trying the same thing, spent approximately $1K on a DAC, and airwaves with a good tuner sounds better. On the plus side, you have a bigger choice of programming.

 I have a Scott 4310 which I adore and I worry that the US may follow suit.I hope it doesn't but who knows.Is that Grace tuner the same company that made one of the best cartridges of all time,the F9E ruby?

 Grace cartridges were made by a japanese company.
Grace High-End Headphone Amps/DAC's are made by another USA-based company.

Still looking for a High-End internet radio.

 Via DAB radio signal OR the internet.

The LCDemoninator trend is what you gov't is going along with.
JBTWay does your 10B work on 240V/50 hz as well as 120/60Hz? And, if yes, how old is the CRT tuning indicator?

 I kind of figured but wasn't sure.
If your looking for internet based radio,why not just go to old reliable and use a MAC Mini with a nice DAC.That's what I use for a CD player and internet streaming when I don't listen to vinyl.
