Looking to buy one or two more GZ34 types for my SE 2a3 amp. Staying on the economy side of things so no pricey NOS. I like the Sovtek I have, but open to others.

I see many 5C4M for sale in Ukraine. What is this - is it a 5Z4, or a 5Y3GB according to Frank's site? Data on Frank suggests it's a 5Y3GB but that's 125mA current and 1.7A. I read first cap is 4uF max. So looks like it's not an equivalent since stated max current is 140mA and it's also 2A/5V. It's 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, 65 mm tall. GZ34 is 75mm tall and 32mm diameter................Anyone used it and can report?

Sovtek 5Y3GT are an odd cathode filament unlike real 5Y3Gt tubes that act like a 5V4 low voltage drop, but rated at 140ma current. They are like a low current GZ-34.

Sovtek tubes are like the bottom of the barrel in fidelity.Look to Sylvania,
GE or new world Genalex GZ34.Your ears deserve better.
