I paid about $15K for a Kondo Souga amplifier for sale on the website Audio Zoom Zoom. All communication stopped once the money was paid. The guy went by the name Varchi.

FYI, more info from audiogon. I wonder if maybe he is located in Bergen op Zoom. Suggest you contact your bank asap as well as the FBI, who have resources dedicated to this kind of fraud.

One possible bright spot is that the website domain is registered by an LLC in Florida.

Sorry to hear; hope it turns out in your favor.

This won't help you (perhaps someone else who's watching); For 15 large I would've asked for a video of the item uploaded to youtube showing serial numbers, spoken word of my name and price agreed upon. Won't guarantee a safe sale but at least I'll know the piece exist. If for any reason they can't (boxed up, in a warehouse, no phone, etc.,) it's adios mf.
