 "Oh, so we can flush masculine products," laughed one of my coed dormmies, 35 years ago. As the 1989-90 school year was coming to an end, we heard "Blue Period," by The Smithereens. Buried in the mix were vocals by Belinda Carlisle. We did not know what that song was about, so a different coed dormmie moaned that, "Out of all mammals, why do we Homo Sapiens menstruate out of our cunts?" After hearing "Blue Period," another girl remarked, "And why in all those maxi pad ads do they use blue [colored] liquid?" -Lummy The Loch Monster
