25 years ago, I went with a friend to Santa Cruz's Tea House Spa.

When I attended UC Santa Cruz from 1989 to 1993, I did not go to Tea House Spa.

My friend was originally from Queens, NY. Thus, she knew and liked the New York's Beastie Boys. At the time, the Beastie Boys had a new single, "Alive." It was about overcoming racism and homophobia. "Alive" would appear on the greatest hits album, Anthology: The Sounds Of Silence.

I have to admit. We did not hear "Alive" too much back in 1999-2000, and we still do not hear it much today. Oh well, gotta find and play it ourselves!

Great pic! Lummy.
the subject matter of this song was on a small scale in the 90's. Colorful video by the Brooklyn 3.
