For Paul MC What Is The Major Difference Between Th 4.5 4.6 and 5.0 preamps

The reason for my question is if there all similar and from what I have read they are or that's what I surmised, what was the reason for the changes.

I own a 5.0 and love it at the moment it's not working no output when i turn it on.
