Time to back up the music collection. I have three 2TB drives. Rather than buy another one, I prefer re-using the oldest backup drive. Is there a preferred way to erase it and ready it for re-use?

Just reformat the drive and choose NTFS if it will be used on a Windows computer only. Choose exFAT if you want the external drive to be compatible with macOS and Windows.

I haven't formatted a drive in Windows for over a decade since I made the switch to macOS but the link below concisely describes how its done.

I assume you're on a Windows machine as it shows up that way in your Asylum profile.
