My kids are home for Christmas and want to stream their Spotify music through my system. I'm using a Lumin U1 mini and can't get Spotify to work. The Lumin app does not show Spotify as an option and Spotify does not recognize the Lumin mini from my ipad. The Lumin is connected via ethernet to my router. Any ideas how to remedy?

Dang, I wish I had seen this sooner.

Tricky but easy. Add Spotify app to your iPad. Under Lumin settings, add Spotify. On the Lumin app tap on Spotify then go to Spotify app. Bottom left of Spotify app is a tiny speaker icon. Tap it and a menu will pop up asking what device to play Spotify on. In my case U1 and D2 pop up and I choose which ever one I want.

Thanks double28. Your instructions worked like a charm!

Why don't you use the Rpi that I helped you set up? ......................, posted on December 26, 2020 at 03:32:05

It supports Spotify just fine.

Well, that was my plan. I went back and read your instructions on setup but we did not talk about Spotify. I'm using iPeng right now on my ipad so I assume I need to switch back to picoreplayer. Could you send me the steps?

I will admit I'm pretty frustrated with the interfaces for streaming. I guess my age and lack of patience has something to do with it! My kids/friends use Spotify so I need a way to stream Qobuz for me and Spotify for the rest of the world.

You need to go the web control page of LMS to set up Spotify.... Then go to Settings>Pluggins Then scroll down into the 3rd party pluggin page. Enable the Spotify Pluggin - still called Spotty and apply it.. When it restarts go to that same pluggin that you enabled and it will have a 'Settings' at the end of the pluggin line. Click that it will allow you to enter your Spotify login and Password (Yes, you do have to have a Paid Spotify Account to link it to LMS or any other Streamer).
