Okay Bitheads,

Here is the deal. What would interest me if there is yet a good enough package for Linux to run on current hardware (preferably the cold Micro ATX based boards)to cover playback of all relevant formats from an inserted CD/DVD (I know SACD is yet out), that is DVD-A, DVD-V, CD and the usual compressed formats. If it could also administer a Harddisk Jukebox that would be great. Audio connections would have to work via USB and a normal Dot Matix display should be able to connect and display all relevant info.

Please note that I would explicitly exclude Microsofts products, but I'll live with anything, not just Linux.

So, any suggestions?

Ciao T
