This set comprises all the material Bela Fleck recorded on his sojourn to Africa in 2005,
some of it released on the CD called TDYH, some on DVD, some on a follow-up CD.
For me the gem of this box set are his duets with the master kora player/griot Toumani
Diabate, herein called "The Ripple effect" ,a single disc debut.

The other tracks are outstanding (already had the single TDYH disc) and Fleck held his
own collaborating with the various musicians in creating wonderful dialogs. I've known of
and respected Fleck as a musician for years but these are the only recordings I have by him.
Having many recordings by many of the African musicians he worked with, it's interesting
to have "discovered" Fleck coming from that direction. I am not a Flecktones fan.

Anyway, this 3CD/1 DVD set is fantastic, with nice notes and packaging and loads of great music .

Thanks for the tip-
I have lots of recordings of the African musician Bella worked with - and a few of Bella's discs -
TDYH is a great album,
so glad to hear that there is more from that effort-
Happy Listening
