Lovely indeed, and -- as with the equally Celtic wee drop -- best enjoyed in moderation. I too enjoyed Carolan on Patrick's Day.

Brit press raved over the Linn recording, but I prefer the Arion Baroque on Atma.

Let yourself be entranced by the gentle pulsating quality of "Suscepit Israel," which is, to me, is the heart of the piece.

All down hill for Western Music after Bach.
