Found the Mahler/Horenstein #3 but it's on Nonesuch. Damn!

It's been my experience going back to the early 60s that brand new Nonesuch LPs come with ticks and pops as standard equipment and a pudding soft vinyl that collects legions more.

Yes, both Nonesuch and Vox can be noisy right out of the sleeve, which is too bad: Nonesuch's Milhaud and Kurt Weill Lp is one of the best recordings I've heard. Vox's Ravel Box set too.

Might as well look out for the UK Unicorn press of the Mahler.
