Check this out. Looks like a serious bargain, if you have the coin.

I'd just buy new. They are 20K new not 27K and new they come with a 30 day trial. Full refund if you are not satisfied

It includes an additional Magtech amp ($7000) and the Harman dbx PA.

Ah, I missed the pair of Magtechs. The dbx unit is included with the speakers. Personally I opted for a less expensive higher powered amp for the bass but that is a much more reasonable price. State of the art speakers and amplification for that price is a steal.

is certainly a good unit, especially for a heavily-used PA model, but I do wish for a better option.

What do you think would be a better option?

I think the DBX might be overkill in a way since it offers so many more features than are used in this configuration but the room measurements and the parametric equalizer are nice features. And the crossover itself is great. Perfect time and phase alignment with super steep slopes.

With that said, I will be soon switching over to an internal crossover in the BACCH4Mac DSP that was custom made for the Sanders. It's the same exact digital crossover. It just doesn't need the dbx unit. It uses the RME Fireface UCX II digital interface to implement the crossover
