Supposed to be really smooth riding. I might try a pair on the Canyon.

Expensive and I read about failures -super light construction. Keeps me away.

They're expensive, but they're not all super light., posted on November 20, 2023 at 13:02:13

There's standard, light, and super light.
I've heard about puncture issues, too, but there are a lot of randonneur guys who swear by them.

Is your ride so uncomfortable?

No, but I'm gonna need tires pretty soon., posted on November 20, 2023 at 15:06:38

Nearly 6K miles on the Gravelkings.
I'm always open to new ideas. Or something like that.

What could be better than sitting on the road side, patching the tire? :)

I keep telling myself - if something works, stick with it.

First of all the Rene Herse are made by Panaracer., posted on November 20, 2023 at 17:24:06

I've read many complaints online about Panaracers being susceptible to punctures also but I've got about 6K miles on various Panaracer tires and have only had one flat.
Some reviewers of the Rene Herse complain about punctures, other don't.
The 700 x 32 Rene Herse are only $20 more for the pair than the Gravelkings I'm using now.
I'm not real thrilled with the grip of the Gravelkings on loose or slightly muddy surfaces. At the very least, I'll probably switch to the Panaracer Pasela, but if I can get a more comfortable ride from Rene Herse, I'm gonna at least consider them.

As I was riding the other day I remember thinking how comfortable mine was.

What is your frame material? I have carbon and I love it.

No, all three of my bikes are comfortable., posted on November 21, 2023 at 03:04:29

Even the GT, which is a real tank.
My interest was piqued by the idea of more compliant tires, that's all.
Something new to try.
I'll probably end up with Paselas. They have good grip in slimy conditions. But maybe I'll be y'alls' canary in the coal mine and try the Rene Herse.

Expensive and hard to get over here.
I think they are from the Panaracer factory.
Gravelkings with the lightest sidewalls will be as close as I get.
