Norway joined the great club of countries training the Ukrainian pilots on F-16's.

Actually... the inside story has it some pilots are already completing their training and, according to some VERY knowledgeable experts, expect the first planes piloted by the Ukrainian fliers in the sky by... end of June.

Much of pilot work is rather routine and easy to train for. For instance, the typical long range ground attack weapon release, and things such as long range air-to-air combat. A good pilot can be trained for these on a new plane in very short time.

So far that expert has been very much on target in his reports... but clearly the situation is not entirely technical, but we shall see.

So, does this mean the F16 can now be deployed 10x faster?

I do wonder about the consistency of the training when there's ten different trainers.

Same plane, same NATO standards. Yes, each individual instructor is going to bring his special flavor, but that is present in any training.

Is this "game-changer Wunderwaffe" no. 10?

Whatever it is, I'm sure you are VERY excited about it!
