There are so many options and directions you could (explore) go in. I think any person could spend years exploring!!!

A classic approach... Old theatre horns... One of my favorites is the Altec 604 co-axial drivers... Older k-horns with crossover optimizations... Older Heresies with alnico drivers and genuine EV T-35 high frequency horn assembly.

Single full range drivers... The classics like the WE (Altec) 755 series. JBL 8 inchers... In boxes or open (IEC) baffles. Modern Diatone aand Pioneer versions of their own classic full rangers. Select current Fostex drivers.

Tell us more about your listening preferences... And room size...
Music genres you listen the most to... Etc.

I'd like to see other readers recommendations as well...

Thanks Mike.
My living room is also my listening room. It is about 11' x 16' next to dining area. I am using a pair 604D in 606 cabinets for my 45 and 2A3 single ended amps. I like to store these big speakers away and use full range or 2 way speakers with 8" drivers max. I learned that smaller speaker is a lot easier to get good sound stage. My LS3/5a with paralleled 300B showed me how easy it is to position speakers for good results. There is just no room to move the 606s around.
I mostly listen to male and female vocal, jazz, strings, pianos, saxophone and no classics.
I am looking for recommendations for high efficient small speakers can be driven by 45 single ended amp.
Thanks for your inputs.

Try out the Madisound Fostex P800 and P1000, for a couple hundred bucks you can audition some full range small speakers and if these fit your sound and size needs upgrade to Blumenstiens. For horns, Frugal horns sound great. These are ~4" driver floor standers that are about 48 inches tall. There are many other's if you prefer not to DIY.

I use the Blumenstein Orca speakers with a variety of amplifiers in my lab. A very nicely crafted speaker.

Have you tried the Orca speakers on the lowly 2 watt output 45 SE amp?
I read the customer testimonials on Blumenstein Audio web page and the lowest output amp mentioned was 4 watt.
Thanks.

I've used the Orcas with amplifiers ranging from the 46 tube(sub 2 watts)to the 211(12 watts).

You'd be surprised on how loud those lowly 2 watts can be. Check out the user of 45 Stereomours and Orca's on the Bottlehead forum.

IMO, 45SE is best used as a dedicated compression driver amp in a multi-amp setup.
