I will give it a listen...-. ECM tends to be too bland for me but there is the occasional surprise. The label suffers a sameness to me but that is a good group!

Big fan of Tord.

I think ECM "bland" is about right...., posted on October 4, 2024 at 14:12:09

I fail to see anything interesting in this trio. I was bored stiff after a few minutes. Listened to several tunes and all were S-L-O-W....... and that was about it.

i have listened to a piece earlier in the day and thought--why would I listen to this. later the same day or on another day, same piece andim thinking--what's wrong with me, this is GOOD. it's not always the case but it happens.

Tord's music has always been a slow thing but after many years after my first hearing of his earlier work and I feel that he has progressed a lot and I am finding this piece to be very interesting. yu may never warm up to him but I liked his similarity to Bill Evans in the early works but this is now diverged from the Evans effect.

this is the thing that streaming from Tidal or Qobuz is good for.
...regards...tr

This is very nice. Subtle and meditative. Sort of reminds me of the old album by Archie Shepp and Horace Parlan, Goin' Home.
