I just came out of the metro in London this evening and there sitting on the pavement was an old Rumanian guy with no English and a huge smile improvising chorus after chorus in 13/4 on his accordion with a really addictive bass line on his portable speaker combo. Sounded like Kolo music to me, which I know from trips to Serbia. I just stood there and listened, spellbound.......
