Question regarding crystals and lost civilizations

Question: aside from audio applications for crystals that have been discussed in this forum does anyone have any more "spiritual" or health related experiences with crystals, especially crystal wands, Lemurian seed crystals, crystals wrapped with copper wire, geodes, Chakra crystals, crystals for massage, things in that vein? No, this is not a troll.

Back in the 80's I worked in a fish market in S.F. One day a young lady came in and asked me the prices on the various types of fish I had on display in the window, after I told her the prices she took out a crystal on a chain and dangled it over the fish. I asked her what she was doing and she told me the vibrations of the crystal were telling her which fish was the healthiest for her to eat, when she was done she pointed at a piece of lemon fish and said she would take that one. Maybe it was just coincidence but she chose the cheapest piece of fish in the market. Maybe she was from a lost civilization but that is my only experience with crystals period.

my wife and I with a neighbors son, Steve, went to one of our National Health Organization meeting. The guest speaker was a Dr Yaw, who was one of the developers of nylon, talked about the dangers of electrical fields on the human body. Using metal rods he was able to show how simple electrical appliances changed both the depth and the polarity of our electrical field. Surprise of course he sold a square piece of plastic you wore that reversed the effects. Steve right away realized that he was using crystals in his product.

When we got home, Steve went home and brought back some zirconium crystals. We were able to recreate his experiment. Its fun to do with people who dont believe in either witching or crystals. Since that night my wife has not gone a day with out wearing a crystal and used to make pendants for her friends.

When a nice young woman wants to rub me with a quartz crystal, I don't say no. That's about the extent of my experience with it.

Although I nearly sublet a loft space from a guy who's now marketing mystical crystal "batteries". He had a mad scientist workshop next door to the loft. Please adjust your tinfoil hat before Googling "Hutchison Effect".

There's an interesting YouTube video with Hutchison demonstrating some of his ideas at

23 years ago my then girl fried ave me my first crystal. Some ten years later another gave me a set of Amethyst book ends (Geode). Today, I probably have half a dozen around the house.

Sometimes when I am feeling off key, I place them on my chakras.

"crystals wrapped with copper wire"

My early life was greatly enhanced by quartz crystals clamped at their corners between metal plates, which I think were plated copper. Close enough?

They opened up my mind in a special way by allowing me to commune with other intelligent lifeforms via the aether and were instrumental in determining the direction of the rest of my life.

The above is the absolute truth, but I suspect it isn't exactly what you had in mind...

The "quartz crystals clamped at their corners between metal plates"?

Components used in some manner of exploration? Auditing? From which group?

Thanks!

Well, I guess we are even, I don't have a clue what you are talking about.

And I apologize to you for any confusion I may have caused. Geoff was seeking experiences with crystals outside of audio and since he's an old RF guy I knew that he would know what I was talking about. What I described is simply the internals of an FT-243 crystal holder commonly used to control radio transmitters between mid-WWII and the mid-60's. This was the era I grew up in and having developed a lust for things electronic I became a ham-radio operator and built my own transmitters. However I had to buy the crystals for them and could only afford a few so I very much valued them as they allowed me great pleasure and satisfaction which in turn set the course of my career.

Oddly enough I still have a few of them and still feel rather attached to them, I think it's just due to strong associations with good times but I suppose there might be something more.

What is Auditing? I only know the term WRT financial records and college classes.

Regards, Rick

It seems you've escaped their clutches...

Well, I remember my Psych. Prof. mentioning them (scientologists) in the distant past. As I recall he didn't seem to think highly of them. He didn't mention auditing.

Didn't see any mention of crystals in the link, 'bout the only electronical thing was a skin resistance meter apparently used as a crude lie detector during hypnosis.

There is a large hippy community in our area and I bet that they do more interesting things with crystals than stay within the ham band. Maybe I should mingle.

Mmmmmmmmmmm...

Rick
