Perhaps this would help someone tuning their A7 (and perhaps apply to other systems)

its a distillation of what he's learned so far -

ALL stock Altec fiberglass was removed, with padding ONLY behind the 15 inch woofer, on the inside upper rear panel.

Exterior bracing was added.

The Stock port was brought back and preferred for mid bass beauty.

Another is "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig."

I guess I just don't understand the infatuation with the A7.

one good quality cap is much better than this together
and use thin wire that is so much better
just try it you will hear it

Hi Horny - the following is the opinion and advice of a good friend who owns VOTT and has decades of experience. (I've only heard one VOTT at a local hifi store in 1972)
