Hi,
Was wondering what my options are with availble super tweeter diaphrams available with 18.4mm diameter. I have blown my old Ale a1750 acoustic tweet and replacing them with the same diaphram is not possible now as the company is not making anymore. Looking if theres any out theres with 18.4mm diameter, thats probably doable to for me to mod to fit the Ales.
Best,
Victor

There is a lot more to it than just the diameter of the coil assembly. It may be easier to just replace the entire tweeter if you cant get the originals.

I agree with Hornlover about the problems with attempting replacement with a diaphragm other than the designed one. Seemingly minor differences in diaphragm and voice coil can effect significant changes in the driver's T/S parameters. If I did manage to find a diaphragm which would fit I would expect to treat the reassembled driver like an unknown driver, measure its parameters and modify or redesign the crossover to compensate for changes.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.

Presuming you are over age 50 and a Male.
Then you are unlikely capable of hearing 15khz.
Rendering the actual need for a Supertweet as iffy.
