I didn't want to spend a lot on a Streamer but wanted to get a nice one with good reviews. From what I read, this unit has a nice following and reviews. Sure there are better more expensive units, but this fits my needs.

Now I just need to figure what streaming service I want that works best with this unit. I listen to Jazz, Funk, R&B, Classic Rock and Big Band music most of the time.

That's the streamer I am using at this time, and I am quite happy with it. Its user interface is not the best, but it is usable.

Are you going to use an external DAC with it?

My recommendation is to start with Qobuz - I like it better, than Amazon.

Qobuz is my recommendation if only one service is to be used. For the money it is not a bad rig.

If you are a veteran you can get Tidal's HiFi (their highest resolution offering) for $11.99 a month. No other service can come close to that price for the sound quality

Thanks and I am a sucker for HiFi. I am not a Vet and do not quite qualify for Medicare but I do subscribe to Qobuz, Tidal, and Spotify.....If these 3 don't have it, I don't need to listen to it!

Hi Victor, i do have a DAC and it's the Musical Paradise MP-D1 that I did some upgrades on. It's great with CD's and the last time I used it for streaming from my Laptop I was using Pandora and it was really nice sounding until my laptop died. I had setup with Foobar 2000.

I hear the DAC in the Bluesound Node 2i is really nice. If I can get the same sound I had with my Current DAC connected to the Bluesound I will a happy camper. Lol. If for some reason both of the DACs don't satisfy me, I will be looking a Schiit Bifrost 2.

I will be running Ethernet wired for best results.

Thanks for the heads up on Qobuz. I have been seeing a lot about this service.

If you already have the cable there, then why not, but otherwise... I get easy 60Mbps in my listening room, so I use wireless and it's been 100% reliable.

Best of luck!

My Bluesound node 2i came in on Thursday and I finally got it setup today. Sounds really nice with internal DAC so I will just use it as is. Been listening to the Jazz radio stations and just blown away how good this little streamer sounds.

I still need to get a streaming provider.

Thanks everyone!

You can easily get some experience with them. I know I am going to keep Qobuz, perhaps just it.

I tried the Qobuz free trail but it wouldn't work so I just subscribed monthly. It's really nice and I'm Happy with it.

Have been letting it break in with online radio stations, so the sound stage is becoming wider and sounding better. Only two days so far, but really nice.
