A hifi salesman demonstrated MQA to me with a recording I knew well in a 50k+ system. It sounded terrible, certainly no better than the cd, but I did not have the heart to tell him because he was so excited about it. Now this may just be that particular recording or that system but after listening it appeared to me that MQA is one of those new audio formats that exists in the pages of hifi magazines for a few years and then fades away until the next betamax comes along. Hope I am wrong.

MQA makes BetaMax look like a world adopted, smashing success.

This white paper by the excellent software company, Xivero, puts it all to rest. Crickets from the Hifi magazines. Shameful.
