From audioholics.com:

"As it turns out, the Uni-Fi Reference isn't just the latest Elac speaker from Jones - it's also the last. That very same day, Jones took to Facebook and made a surprising declaration: he's leaving Elac after an incredibly successful 6-year run."

y'all're late to the party.
He announced this in mid-July.
Guess loudspeaker news travels at the speed of sound rather than light.

;)

Old news. Wonder where he is going? I couldn't find any additional info on his next venture...

Your linked site shows he announced it on Facebook.

He's - apparently - older than I thought he was, so... I mean... he has a right to retire, or semi-retire, if he wants to.

It was just my unsuccessful attempt at humor (linking not knowing what Facebook is to being "late to the party" and "news travels at the speed of sound rather than light").

Yes, I looked at your linked page. On your linked ASR page, below the text you quoted, is a link to Andrew Jones' Facebook page (see below) where he made the announcement.

Ah! now we can get smothered by a pile of new budget speakers and one very very expensive speaker from a new company. Reviewers must be sharpening their pencils to start praising the new polite sounds and the gentle designer. There is great scope for comparisons with Elac and Pioneer. We will all have fun over the next 6 years. Something to look forward to in these pandemic and Afghan times.
