everyone was so busy with Carrie Fischer's death, that no one mentioned Rick Parfitt of Status Quo. Although he survived several hart attacks, he passed away from infection after surgery. (Link at the bottom)

I know that SQ was not that popular this side of the pond, but member and composer of the group that lasted almost five decades, sold over 100 million records, and had dozens of hits in native UK, should be mentioned. Also, Status Quo was my first rock concert, and did they rock.

Tribute to Parfitt, their first hit, and few others.

just learned of his passing last night whilst having a pint at my local. At one time I must have had 20 of their records. Now I have a handful of their best of, 2 fers and compilation cd's. I also have great DVD or BluRay, I forget which that just goes on forever. Much like their popularity and longevity. Really there is no Quo without Parfitt and Rossi. We are getting old.

They were at their best when every song sounded somewhat like Matchstick Men.

I know that that is an overstatement, but by 1969 they were boogie, and boogie I am not.

I am Nowhere Man.
