Some cheap turntables have USB digital output. If you need a high end one, I am not familiar in this area. miniDSP starting point my guess?

You didn't say what TYPE of digital input you need to drive and what end result you were seeking.

Pro-ject Optical Box E below will accept an MM phono cartridge level signal directly into its RCA jacks -OR- a line level signal from your existing phono preamp. In the latter case you will need a 3.5mm to stereo RCA adapter cable. The product page is linked below. The Owner's Manual can be found on the product page under the heading "What's in the box:". It describes technical details including user selectable 48-KHz or 96-KHz output over Optical.

Pro-ject Optical Box E $180 at Crutchfield

If needed you can find dozens of these 3.5mm to
stereo RCA adapter cables on Amazon.

If you're planning to digitize vinyl LP's here's an entirely different solution that outputs via USB to a computer. It doesn't get much simpler than this. You can use the FREE Audacity software on the computer but there are others.

The Wiim Ultra will also take phono input and output the digital or analog.

This question comes up a couple of times a year, reliably, on the Computer Audio or Vinyl forum. A clue about budget expectations is always helpful.

Link below is the most recent discussion I can remember, including several recommendations.

Also, this: Redux

. . . in theory, practice and theory are the same; in practice, they are different . . .

Compared to the Parasound Zphono USB at $250 the MiniDSP A2D at $300 is more versatile, better spec'd, and well worth the price difference.

I've had a minDSP SHD for some years and use the ADC input for vinyl listening with no reservation. That product uses an AKM ADC but that was.pre-fire so I think they made a shift to ESS after that.
