I have been a member of many parts and information places and have been removed from one of my parts places that has parts I need to build my tube amplifiers.....I'm using this forum only to get opinions from people that I have repaired or built amplifiers for....I have tried many times to use this forum without any success because I know nothing of computers......I always buy pretty big orders of parts because of my building....When I made a order from this (un-named) company and there were items in my cart that I was un aware, so when I made my purchase there was all this extra stuff that was left over from a past order....Anyway I contacted the company as quick as I could ....and was answered with "why did you order them when you didn't want them) and instantly closed my account.............What do you think of that ?? Please do not criticize my forum question, I have no idea how all this works.....But it has created a hardship for me getting quialty parts for my amps......THANKS

Well...

I understand your complaint as written, but I suspect there is some portion of the story that is missing.

If I'm a parts supplier, I don't make money unless I sell parts. You want to buy parts, so that should make you a good customer, UNLESS:

1. You have been particularly disagreeable
2. You don't pay your bills
3. You're a pain in the butt to work with

If I'm a parts supplier and there is a mix-up on an order I am motivated to make it right, unless the customer is a real pain in the butt.

Have you been a pain in the butt?

If I understand this correctly, you contacted the company before the items were shipped? It would be a bigger deal of course if they had been shipped.

I would suggest sending an email or letter to the company expressing your deepest apologies for the mistake, which you take full responsibility for. Indicate that you would be grateful if they would consider reactivating your account, and were they to do so, that you would be especially vigilant to make sure that this did not happen again. Say that regardless of their decision, you remain very grateful for the service that they have provided in the past, and wish them a good day. Have someone proof read the message before you send it.

Best regards,
Daniel

...I got the opposite impression...that he wasn't aware of the gaffe until the "extra" stuff showed up at his door. Because of his lack of clarity, one can only infer.

It happens to me because I'll look into something on Amazon or it says, 'Add to Cart to get Price', and click a few items into the cart that I abandon.

Often, I go in days later to buy something now and find my old items in the cart and I delete them.

Check your order before you finish the process. If it isn't on the current list, delete it.

RoD: I'm sorry I can't respond to these comments, I can't figure this type of forum out, but I have learned one thing....There are a lot of angry people on here that could be of help with all of this , but they seem to want to take another line......People talk about me like they know me and we have never met......I have built thousands of tube amplifiers and have taught many people the skill of repairing and building tube electronics....I have given a lot more than I have taken......Most of my friends would not spend two minutes on a forum so its hard to get comments from them.......The person that owns Sonicraft couldn't spend two minutes trying to help , but its his business not mine......This will probably be a lesson to me to stay away from forums if I am looking for some help.....This is not where you find it, it seems to be a lot of little people wanting to be big.............THANKS

If you don't know how to order parts, you probably shouldn't try to manufacture anything. So either get some help, or get some training. Good luck.

Just how I read it.

First they came for the dumb-asses
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a dumb-ass

...describing the account closure, then, indeed, he did, in fact close the account himself.

If you can build amps, you can learn both to write cogently in English, and review what is in your cart before placing your order, IMHO.

Thanks everyone who commented on this, some was helpful , some was not.....But forums are for people other than me and as far as parts are concerned, I can become a Mundorf dealer without any problem, so my capacitor needs can be met......I'm already a New Sensor and Cardas dealer.........Thanks again
