Should be finished in the summer. I started on it last year!! For every DAC I build, it takes half a year, I make it good. I don't release garbage like other manufacturers (dCS).

dCS Elgar Plus DAC and dCS Verdi Encore SACD transport had crazy Firewire noise, unacceptable for $30,000+. Verdi was only good with the Firewire, but it had noise. Toslink connection was very blurry, my old Cary 303/300 CD transport had a much cleaner Toslink output. I won't even talk about the SPDIF connection, horrible noise for both Verdi and computer. The Coconut-Audio SPDIF cables takes care of this noise nicely.
The dCS sources were junk, they weren't even worthy to make videos of, or pictures, I only took a picture when I was selling them, I wasn't even able to sell them, nobody wanted overpriced junk, I almost gave away for free.

Long story short; I made a direct switch from the dCS sources into EMU0404 USB, got better sound in every way, but it sounded edgier which was expected. But the Liquid VibraPortals fix this easily, so no problem.

White Night DAC has Benchmark DAC1, using my modifications, with the Toroidal transformer outside the chassis, this mod revealed new layers of microdetail. I don't know what the designers were thinking when they placed a transformer inside the DAC case! They were only using their tools to do the listening. It's no wonder I liked the EMU0404 USB better, that had the transformer in the AC plug.

Anyway, the White Night DAC will have the Alien crystal formula, that takes care of the noise traveling in the circuit board. This noise is INSTANTLY removed. With Hangers, the noise had to travel to the RCA before it was removed, but not with the crystals pressed into the circuits.

Noise is not acceptable. dCS added noise in many ways to color the sound. The microdetails were toned down to make it appear deeper, very veiled sound. But they compensated for it with Firewire edgy noise to give a fake sparkle, it wasn't sparkle, it was just edgy, fatiguing click noise. Not real detail. But the Alien crystal formula gives real detail!

Because White Night DAC takes half a year to build for every unit, it will be expensive. If you pre-order, I might be able to give a good deal. E-mail me if interested to buy the best DAC in the world. Choose between 230 volt or 110 volt.
