I was just listening to the Christopher O'Riley recording, "At the Break" and really enjoyed the Rameau pieces. I'm assuming he made them more "romantic" than written, but I liked that.

Any full album recordings of Rameau with the same style?

You really ought to hear this. French music from two different eras but both played sublimely:

I don't know if Sokolov recorded Rameau commercially, but I have some Rameau pieces from a live performance that are wonderfully played.

On that Olafsson record, I liked the Rameau a lot, didn't like his way with Debussy,

She recorded a CD of Keyboard Suites for Hyperion.

There is a highly touted recording of the Pièces de Clavecin by Christophe Rousset on L'Oiseau-Lyre, although I have not heard it. It is performed on harpsichord.

There is a beautiful Rameau Nouvelles Suites performed by Alexandre Tharaud on YouTube.

I also highly recommend the Víkingur Ólafsson Rameau/Debussy album. I have the LP and it is wonderful.

Enjoy the music.

Also like Tharaud's Rameau as well.

Also fascinating to hear Macrcelle Meyer's.

I was fortunate enough to hear Sokolov live in those Rameau pieces too, posted on November 16, 2020 at 01:26:51

Herbst Auditorium in SF a few years ago - Sokolov was wonderful at the concert I heard too!

Sokolov performed in SF a few years ago? I thought he hasn't come to the US in at least a couple of decades.

I heard him live in Bolzano 3 years ago. As always, his encores included a Rameau piece and it was wonderful

Marcelle Meyer on EMI (reissued on Erato) . Older sound, but lovely and poetic playing.

I do not know the O'Riley recording and my suggestion is but half Rameau. OTOH, this has brought me much enjoyment lately.

One or another of us may have recommended every possible piano recording of this repertoire! As I sometimes say, you just can't go wrong! ;-)

Got the 17 CD box set for $25 instead of just the Rameau recordings. I was unfamiliar with her and then listened to her on Youtube. Hard to pass up. This pandemic is going to consume all of my CD storage space!

Thanks all for the recommendations!
