There was a 3 cent/liter hike overnight here for no good reason. Are the oil companies turning a profit? Perhaps the executives feel the numbers hsould be a little bit bigger.
BTW, yer gettng screwed, in Kingston our guys are paying ahboot a buck thirty or so for regular.
This is nothing more than the refiner passing along increased cost of feedstock and those increases working their way thru the chain to the Barrymobile. Should see a slight drop over the rest of the week. Also, shop around. Other than added detergents, one brand is ahboat as good as the other.

Good for you. I didn't care much for Southern California either. Did like living in San Clemente for a bit in the mid 90's.
Left the Mid-West, downstate Illinois, in about 1969 and never looked back! Lots of long distance relatives Southern Indiana and Kentucky as well.
