      I love motors. People would spend all day talking about plinth, constrain layered damping, belts, threads, dental floss, acrylic platter, metal platter, turntable mats, power cords, ad nauseam, and yet not many wants to pay attention to what I believe, arguably, the most important turntable component, the source of its rotation, the motor!     That was the simplest explaination of it I've yet seen.
    
    I'd love to hear all of the new direct drives.The Grand Prix Monaco,the Teres Certus,the Brinkmann Oasis and this new Brinkmann baby.
    
    I would guess that the ultimate rendition of Direct Drive type turntable has not yet been realised.
