Are your screw heads on top of the headshell, nuts on bottom? This is the way I have it on my RB300 but it's difficult to grip the nuts in order to sufficiently secure it. Nuts on top would not look very good. Which way do you like it?

I guess you have to be carefull too with putting too much torque on your nuts:)

nuts on bottom. A tip I read a while back is to put a small dab of blu tac on the end of a screwriver to hold the nut while driving down the screw to get it started. Then remove the screwdriver /w blu tac and hold both sides of the cart pressing against the nuts. It will hold and the screw can be driven down easily.Reason I do it this way is that screwing up from the bottom is an impossible wat to set that cart when aligning. Don't want to make a mistake with a screwdriver that close to the cantilever. Much easier and safer to twist from the top.

Nuts on top in my JMW-9 arm wand for the Scout and nuts underneath in the SL-1200MK2 headshell (pic). Works well either way.

the threads aren't protruding.I know it's incredibly picky, buy I always go nuts down because of that.
Never seem to have trouble tightening, and it just looks better to me.
When I had a 103, had necessarely to mount nuts on top.
Yes not nice, but mechanically better.
Cheers

how do you mean?
Means it it better fixed with the screw pointing up.
It keeps the cart more firm

how does it keep the cart more firm? Just because the nuts are on top?
Sorry if I wasn't able to explain it properly. it has to do with my English I guess.
In my experience to firm the cart you need good pressure from bottom. I had the feeling that the head of the screw was a better pusher up compared to a nut.
Cheers

There is no pressure from bottom. That is your perception only. The pressure is pulling from both sides equally.
