Does it matter if the cartridge mounting bolts are magnetic?
I am fitting a OC9ML onto an ittok using Linn allel headed bolts, and have fond they are attracted magnetically to the cart body, is this a problem.
The supplied AT ones are non magnetic. but the nuts are not as wide as the Linn ones. and dont cover the headshell slots as well as the Linn ones. Plus I would prefer the black finish.

Do not use magnetically attractive hardware for cartridge mounting. There's a high probability of affecting signal quality.Just use washers between the bolt heads and the headshell. This will fill the gap and prevent marring of the headshell.
If you want 'em black, paint 'em.
P.S. Source for non-magnetic hardware linked below.

Thanks for replies.
I have found some at a dealers, stainless steel, non magnetic.
The old ones securing a DV10x4 were magnetic, dont know if it was affected or not though.

There's nothing like watching the powerful magnets in an MC rip a piece of metal out of your fingers and send it flying into the cantilever. Wakes you right up! ;-)
