I have owned ultra light mass, low medium massed, medium massed, and high mass arms. All have done a great job when properly matched to the cartridge.

However, my highest detail arms have always seemed to be the ultra low mass or low mass arms. These tend to always have a lighter counterweight and very near the pivot point with the exception of the Black Widow that hung a heavier weight a little further out. It required silicone dampening in order to track difficult vinyl obstacles.

I would love to know if others have this same experience, and if there are some mathematical properties at play.
