Derrick,... less confidence, simply because SME3009/2 and SME3012/2 are identical from construction and materials, similiar like the 3009R and 3012R are identical, and the 3009s2improved is a bit more different to the 3012/2, so test results for the 3012/2 might be transferred to the 3009s2improved with less confidence than to the 3009/2.

Hi Hartmut,Thanx for clarifying. I have both an older 3009II-R and the newer 3009II-R Improved (but I acquired it w/ non-pulley type bias guide). I look forward in reading your follow-up with the older 3012II-R.

---I know! 8^) And I know SME'site well too. The only reason I put the "R" in there is because my Improved version has a removable headshell (higher effective mass), which is actually designated in SME's site as "S2/R". Read the first paragraph of this page:
