Started collecting them after hearing George Winston in '82. I used part of the"Moon" track from Autumn for a skating program a couple of years later. The "Woods" track is another favorite from that album. You may be aware it was a label founded by and owned by the musicians. Will Ackerman did a great job of promoting the use of minimal mic techniques and quality recordingsArtists include Will Ackerman, Malcomb Dalglish, Liz Story, Michael Hedges, Mark Isham, George Winston, Alex DiGrassi, Shadowfax and about a dozen samplers. We used Liz Story's "Wedding Rain" track for our own wedding in '86 and we're going to see her live next month. First time was at Woodruff Hall in Atlanta where she played her Steinway identically to the studio versions. Saw Hedges live a couple of times.
I have quite a number of albums in both vinyl and digital and they are remarkably similar. I used some Winston content to help fine tune selection of cartridge loading for my Dynavector DV20. And also use it to calibrate input gain matching between those sources.

Wicked good bass player.

reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
I have a bunch on CD & will have a total of four on LP soon. I want to get Solid Colors by Liz Story & Breakfast in the Field by Michael Hedges soon.
"'Cause when love is gone, there's always justice./And when justice is gone, there's always force./And when force is gone, there's always Mom. Hi Mom!" Laurie Anderson, "O Superman (For Massenet)"
Have both and they are pre-digital. Recording quality is superb!
