I thought of that after I posted it but left it up. However, to be fair, there were quite a few listeners who said the tables sounded the same or at least couldn't detect a significant difference. What bothers me are those that say they hear a HUGE difference. How many times have we heard the terms "blow away" or "blow out of the water?" Many audiophiles grossly overestimate their auditory abilities and were they given a blind test under controlled condition might come up with a very different answer.Fremer, in his introduction to the video, implied that everyone should hear the difference. He didn't say it in those words but that was certainly the implication. And, as it happened, many of us couldn't hear a difference. And then there were those who thought this was such a great test. As if everything Michael Fremer does is worthy of praise. I have to admit: I don't get it!

I think in fairness to Fremer he is sharing with the world a glimpse of 200k tables which we would never get to experience first hand. I had fun with it and appreciated the time he spent putting it together. I also loved the lp he chose. Tony Williams is on fire
I guess it was interesting to some to see those uber-expensive tables, but many of us who closely follow the advancements in this field, have seen them before. And I didn't find the sound at all extraordinary. I've heard better from relatively much less expensive turntables online. To be fair, listening on YouTube is not a good test.
