Vinyl Me, Please graciously replaced the warped disc I had received as a gift.
Unfortunately, the replacement is also warped. I'm wondering whether the cause is the 1/8" thick little booklet tightly packed inside the record sleeve (see attached image).
Follow Ups:
I hate to say it, but ...
I did warn you that this was a highly likely outcome when I recommended a record flattener as a more sensible alternative than wasting time and resources in obtaining a replacement!

A similar booklet comes with all their releases. I subscribed for a couple of years and never once got a warped disc, but that was during the period when they did not press their own discs. As I mentioned below, that pressing plant of theirs in Colorado is brand new. They obviously have not got their QC shit together yet.

That's kind of unusual for RTI. Their quality is usually very good.
How bad is the warp? Does it play, or does it throw the stylus out of the groove?
It plays. The warp is about 3/16" off horizontal, notably visible. The cantilever on the Shure V15-III stylus is somewhat forgiving, however.
If VMP didn't ask for the first one back and you have two copies, drop me a private mail and we can talk about the Vinyl Flat an maybe taking the warp out of one of them.
Good luck with that - record flatteners have been mentioned by a couple of us already, but he seems to have a real problem with the concept based on the damage he described after his attempt to flatten one disc with the sun and a heavy sheet of glass.
