But other than that, you're right. When it comes to cartridges with user-replaceable styli though, I usually advise people to get something new. If you fall in love with the cart, the stylus wears out, you can replace it with a new OE stylus and it'll sound the same as it did when you first fell for it. If you have to rely on retipping or third-party aftermarket styli, the cart you love probably isn't going to sound the same as it did. Might be better, might be worse, but it definitely won't be the same.
BTW, your Denon--a guy who used to post here a lot had a DL-103D retipped by Van den Hul. He made me some CD rips using that cartridge. Best cartridge I ever heard. Hands down.

He ripped several LPs for me using that cart. IIRC he later had it retipped by somebody other than VdH, ripped a couple more for me, but I preferred the cartridge with the VdH tip.
