Since you posted a DGG record, I thought some here might be interested in this gentleman's website. His name is Mark Ward and he's only been doing this for a year. But he has a vast repository of knowledge in the classical and other repertoires. He was born in the UK but moved to LA many years ago. He also has a blog, hollywoodandallthat.com. His videos include great lps from the Decca catalog, EMI, Philips, film soundtracks and many others. His presentations are relaxed, cogent and extremely interesting. I spent a day recently watching most of his videos.

...got him bookmarked.
The Tchaikovsky is one of the better DGGs I've heard.
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.
The Mendelssohn Italian symphony is terrific with superb sound. I was shocked when I first heard it years ago wondering why many said DGG had mediocre sound.I guess I got lucky with that one,
I think I need to do some classical record shopping because I'm sure I can find a lot of these in one of the local record stores.
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.
Here's a fascinating look at Decca Phase 4 on his blog. Really interesting stuff here with photos and music clips.
