Does anyone know where my Stones Sticky Fingers LP is? I went to play it the other night, and can't find it. I'm guessing I intentionally misfiled it, likely to avoid zipper pressure on the LP next to it. It probably seemed like a good idea at the time.
I had to settle for plan B, which was listening to Let It Bleed and Some Girls. Still, when my need to satisfy my Can't You Hear Me Knocking jones his, I need to be able to satisfy it. Thank you Mick Taylor.
It's times like this, while wearing reading glasses, a miner's light, and anticipating a sore neck, that I have thoughts of culling some of these 3,000 LPs. Knowing me though, that logic will go away as soon as I finally locate Sticky Fingers.

...on my Sticky fingers LP, but luckily it never affected playability.
I learned (possibly here on Vinyl Asylum) to keep the zipper down, which moves the pressure point off the grooved area.
Hopefully your Exile is still good to go. And speaking of Exile, in Ghost's Zappa thread, he mentions finding himself enjoying an album which previously didn't impress him too much. I need to give Exile a few more tries. Many Stones fans consider it their best, but I've never been able to agree. I'll have to try it again.
Beggars thru Exile have been my favorite one time or another. The zipper didn't harm the vinyl.
No divot. Lotsa fine scratches though. I'd play-grade it VG.
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.
Although could I do it? Knowing me, no. Not that my cover is pristine or collectable, but still.
Or I could transfer the LP to one of those plain white LP covers I bought forever ago, but I've got to find the record first.
