Thankfully i got my (ELO) records for 1 euro per on flea markets and in Goodwills over 10 years ago. Recently i found a CD of Out of the Blue for 1 euro. Didn't sound bad to me. I updated my ca. 1988 Sony ES CDP with a PS Audio DAC. Big improvement. The original double Lp I bought NEW in the late 1970s of course wins because of its spectacular foldout cover.

Follow Ups:
The mastering is excellent. Jeff Lynne's production and mix isn't bad on OOOB either.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?
It's like swearing in the church here. But Jeff Lynne used all of his 24 tracks to record the usual rock band plus full orchestras and choirs. The CD allows me to hear more of what going on in the mix. And it doesn't wear like the once cheap but now expensive and hard to get LP.

The mix for Eldorado was good and mediocre. Some of the songs sound really really good, others not so much.
OOOB is probably the most consistently good out of the ELO records I have. It's also the last ELO record I have, they sounded too much like the Bee Gees on later records.
