Would have to be fairly accurate to match the raised center portion of the platter. Who knows why certain manufactures even did this? Thanks, in advance, for the help.

Laser cutting is the way to go for a clean and precise cut - I'm sure there must be engineering shops in your area that would offer that service.

My pleasure Marty and compliments of the season to you and your family too. Yes it is Summer and getting very toasty indeed! It's weird at this time of year because of course the Christmas decorations and images are still what you expect for a Winter Christmas with some slight tweaks....

you need a piece of plywood bigger than an LP. Tack the rubber down to the plywood, and put it in a freezer for a day or so. To cut the hole there are several good ways to do it. I like the tin can method, but you need something of the right diameter that can be thin and sharp (even a hole saw). It's hard to cut rubber when it's soft, but frozen ; it cuts easily.
A tin can with a hole saw adapter holding it will cut it. Use water as a lubricant. Drill press is the best way, but you can do it with a hand drill. Your looking for 3.76", and a 3 3/4" hole saw will do the job.

driving trucks in the Greenland winter. Those frozen tires with a flat spot can rattle the brain, until the tires warm up. You also have to adjust the rear view mirror after your butt warms up the front seat and you sink down.

You might have to play with the amount of pressure, because rubber stretches as you apply force. Maybe several light passes instead of one hard pressure pass.
Attach the rubber to a surface using double-backed tape and then use that cutter. Will keep it from stretching.

I'd probably use a compass to draw a 9.5-cm circle on the rubber mat. Then, I'd use one of those razor-sharp hobby knives to cut the rubber on the circle. Anyway, that's all I can think of at the moment.
Good luck!
