wow. There is one thing you can do if you can't or don't want to put a back on the rack- a brace (1 or 2) straight from rack to wall stud would hold it in place and you wouldn't have to empty the rack. Granted, it's not as pretty that way but you would not have to empty the cab to get to the backs.
The BHaG racks are surprisingly well made and sturdy, better than anything I've ever purchased from Ikea which is considerable.
